EUCHARIST is greek for thankfulness and rejoicing. This is just what we do in coming to our Lord’s Table to partake of His feast. We come not alone but unified in His Spirit as the body of Christ, to partake of Christ’s body and His blessings remembering His sacrifice.

A New Covenant

Two thousand years ago in the upper room of a house, Jesus invited twelve men into a special and unique fellowship with himself. Lifting a cup filled with wine, He declared, “this is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." He would give His very life and Holy Spirit to guarantee that this relationship would be eternal. These twelve in turn extended that invitation, giving their lives that it might reach far beyond themselves to you and me. Now we join Him at this table with them.
